Just a fun question, to see who your favorite comedian might be, past or current?
I would say mine is Flip Wilson, especially when he did *Geraldine*
Here is one of his funny ones he did with Joe Namath http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-355kMZxUN4
They just don't make *em* like this anymore!
I think a lot of comedians are great but that old school busting on each other without getting offensively juvenile was priceless. I’m glad I was old enough to watch them. :^)
Even Redd kept it clean when he was on broadcast. :^)
Norm McDonald was great doing the Fake News on SNL. Two of the funniest jokes of all time:
(With a photo behind him showing Michael Jackson recovering from the fire incident ... and a photo of Shirley Temple on his hospital room wall) Norm reported:
Don't let this picture fool you. Michael Jackson is a HOMOSEXUAL pedophile.
(To the complete shock and horror of the liberal New York audience):
Magic Johnson has just come out with a new book titled "How Not to Get AIDS". The first chapter: Don't Have Sex With Me.
Norm did a great job as emcee at an ESPN awards program that you can find on YouTube. He also did a masterful roast of Bob Saget for an HBO special. That's harder to find, but well worth the effort.
Monty Python
Norm McDonald
Steven Wright
Zach Galifianakis
Patton Oswalt
Bob Newhart
OMG! I just watched this video of Foster Brooks....

he wins. I remember the first time we saw him was on The Dean Martin Show. He was absolutely hysterical!
I dont mind them busting one another’s chops, I just like the timeless stuff.
Jokes about Walkmens or VCRS, just aint funny any more.
I think Robin Williams is probably funny, but I can’t listen fast enough to keep up with him!
That skit’s a classic!
That there is funny!
Me, too! Apparently it’s too difficult for present day joke writers to use more than a four-letter vocabulary.
That sums up my beef with comedy today as well as film. Lack of good writing. Go back to the Jack Benny show, The honeymooners, Your Show of Shows. Brilliant comedic writing and not one cuss word was used.
Paul Lynde was also a great comic! He was great as Uncle Arthur on Bewitched!
Paul Lynde from Bewitched and Hollywood Squares.
My favorites:
Robin Williams
Bob Hope
Myron Cohen(you’ve got to be old school for him)
Sam Levenson
George Burns - perhaps the funniest man who ever lived
Billy Crystal
Richard Pryor
Flip Wilson
Slappy White
Redd Foxx
The HeeHaw gang
Robert Wohl
Rodney Dangerfield
He defiantly was funny.
Too funny.....
Jerry Clower
Patrick F. Mcmanus is a funny Son of a gun.
I like storytellers.
