Check this out, FRiends! Just saw this cartoon on BostonDirtDogs.com, which is a Red Sox fan site. It's referring to Adrian Beltre as a "one-man wrecking ball" . (Beltre is the Red Sox third baseman who unintentionally hit a ball 400ft directly onto my left forearm during BP on 6/11/10.)

This cartoon is in reference to Beltre's collision with outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury back in April which resulted in several broken ribs for Ellsbury. In June, Beltre also collided with another outfielder, Jeremy Hermida, and now Hermida is on the DL with broken ribs. Beltre is apparently indestructable.

Little does Beltre know (or maybe he does know) that on June 11th he broke yet another bone, although this time it belonged to little ole me, a spectator. Red Sox announcers Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy now joke when Beltre is chasing after a ball and gets close to another player: "Look out, get away from Adrian Beltre!" LOL
