Ouch! Twins’ Span hits mother with foul ball

In a shocking split-second, Span hit a hard foul ball that struck his mom in the upper chest Wednesday. She was treated by paramedics and back in the stands minutes later.

OMG, what a story... Denard Span hits his own mother! And in the chest, no less... yikes. Thank God she is alright.

Yes, some of these ball-hit incidents do take place in a "shocking split-second", or even outside of the ballpark (see my post 163 above). Bringing a glove to the game doesn't always do the trick in cases like this.
