Watching yesterday’s Dodgers v. Giants game, it was almost nothing but foul balls ... to the point where Vinny was joking that everyone in the park would go home with a “souvenir.”

Grr... I was searching for that game on our MLB package channels last night, but that game was blacked out for us for some reason. I hate when they do that... listening to a Vin Scully game is such a treat for me. The Monday LAD-SF game was Krukow & Keiper (sp?), the SF Giants media guys. I never saw the end of the game, but I think the Dodgers won.

Btw, I think he was there at Fenway on June 19.

Yes, Vin Scully was there! Hubby and I saw him sitting near the Dodger dugout (in a pretty dangerous foul ball zone, I should mention) next to Tomma LaSorda. You could not miss his red hair, LOL! Vin and Tommy were chatting away non-stop, lol.

Toward the end of the game we left our seats in the bleachers and got within maybe 10 feet of Vin, but we were shooed away by a special Fenway Park security guard that was assigned to that VIP area. Darn, I may never have another chance again to meet him... at least I came close.

Nutmeg, it’s great to read about your speedy progress. Isn’t it wonderful how the body heals?!! Congrats to your medical team, too. Just don’t ever do this again, okay?

I'll certainly try! We went back to the same place for BP for the June 19 game, but this time I sat way up where no foul balls ever go.

I may have mentioned that a few days before your mishap, one of our Dodgers — Russell Martin, C — was doing BP (hitting rehearsal:) and a liner came off his bat and hit a 3 yr old girl in the head, cracked her skull. Very scary. She went into surgery and the word was she would recover completely... haven’t heard anymore follow-up.

Yes, I saw that, and some of the ER techs at the Boston hospital were talking about that little girl, although at the time I didn't know which ballpark she was in.

I included 2 links to her story in my post #163 above... apparently she is doing well after the surgery. Thank God! As I said, my accident could have been MUCH worse.

Of course, they sat you out in the bleachers, haha.

Um, no they didn't seat us out there... those were our own tickets. I don't expect any free tickets from the Red Sox -- every game at Fenway is always sold out - it's a small ballpark, kind of a unique situation compared to other ballparks/stadiums. Free tickets sure would be nice though!

“Would you like to borrow some hockey gear, too, lady?”

LOL, hockey gear would work just fine! ;-)

Silly me. I could have at least read the titles on your links. I claim to have been speed-FReeping as usual, ma’am:)
