After making further inquiries, I must modify what I said earlier. The question, according to my Dir.HR, SPHR, uses the question "Have you ever been convicted of any crime other than minor traffic offenses?" Some employers may use additionally, within the last seven years, however this can leave a loophole as when someone has just been released from prison after doing ten years.

Good luck on your job search. Stay upbeat and positive, answer the potential employers questions honestly and sell who you really are.
