There’s something so heartwarming in hearing/reading about a person’s turning from the dark side to the good:)
He’s always believed in God [born a minister’s son] but he was a perpetual drunk.
Sobered up, got back in church and the rest is history...:)
Most people pay his lyrics no mind but they’re very much parables wherein evil is always punished.
His last album “Along Came A Spider” has a song called “Salvation”.
It’s really great...almost a penitent hymn.
