You were saying ...
We should be running a dead pool on Joran.
On the other hand, I'm confident that Natalee Holloway's mother is hoping for Joran van der Sloot's survival, during his prison term in Peru, so that she can see justice carried out on behalf of her daughter, when the U.S. seeks to extradite him for trial. And one part of that action of would be to find out exactly what happened to her daughter, and also to have the ability to do a burial for her daughter.
It would seem that some people have forgotten about that part of it ...

Listening to a lawyer just on FOX who contends that the US has no case against Joran for extortion. His asking for money to give the location of Natalee's body does not constitute extortion.
I'm afraid the only justice they will get is what happens to him in Peru.

I can't speak to the strength of the case. But, I do know that the FBI was working on it when they gave him the money directly, and also transferred funds into van der Sloot's bank account. And I do know that the US is proceeding on the matter in a court case.
So..., whether their case is strong enough to hold up or not -- I just don't know (I guess that's what a trial is for). But, I do know that they have a legal proceedings going on it right now.
