“Without FR and its capability of communicating with activists to find out WHO might ought to know what the correct information was, “W” could have easily lost to another evil Algore trick.”

Are you saying the dozens of GOP lawyers were combing site for consitutional precedents, legal strategy and closing argument zingers?

The only thing this site was useful for was organizing activism to meet the left wing commie bastards in the street, which we did well for several years.

Then Jim let the antifreeprs back in and it was over.

Many of those lawyers were going to the wrong set of laws.

Sure there was a consent decree concerning military absentee ballots, but it was like NONE of those lawyers even noticed why the Democrats were going after the postmark issue.

The Dems thought they had it licked ~ that without postmarks those absentee ballots couldn't be counted ~ because Florida law required a postmark!

That law had long before been supplanted by Motor Voter ~ ironically the Leftwingtards' premiere voting rights law ~ and those ballots were postage paid, and lawfully did not need to bear postmarks!

After all Postal Rules require postmarks only on mail that bears postage, e.g. stamps!

Far be it for your typical Republican activist lawyer to ever imagine that Motor Voter had turned the tables on the C-Rats, but it had!

I recall the "individual in charge" at Senator Warner's office explaining how it was all in hand because, "blah, blah, blah, consent decree", but it wasn't!

A congress-critter calling in while flying from someplace to Florida to "lead the charge" was more informed, but it took a while for him to realize that "it was a federal question, not state" ~ kind of like how the Supreme Court ruled 7 to 2!

Here's where Republicans are short ~ they have plenty of lawyers, but mostly with practices representing people who oppose the intended actions of the regulatorybodies ~ it's just not in their nature to think like the Adminisrators ~ and they have to be retrained to work successfully in a new Republican administration, or, in a pinch, replaced with some captain of industry.

Still, it's pretty cheap to find bureaucrats in the bowels of the agencies who will tell you the truth and how to use the law to smite your enemies ~ or gain you an advantage.

Democrats think of that ALL the time. Republicans only rarely!
