So who’s joking?
The person to whom that post was addressed (not you) has bragged about poisoning dogs on this forum.
Address your anger to 1COUNTER-MORTER68.
And learn to read contextually.
Chet [and his slap happy entourage] are an infamous FR “in joke”, by now.
Surely you knew that?
If you think I got “pricked”, you’re obviously very easily impressed by trite, desperate ad hominem.
[my comedic standards are bit higher than yours, apparently]
You need to cultivate smarter friends.
Perhaps you’d even get a genuine laugh, now and then.
My “pitbully-dogs to tag team”?
That is amusing.
We’re only the ones you *see* laughing at the pathetic attempts at “wit” on these threads.
*Many* more are silent [but infinitely amused] observers....:)
Sorry if my “reaction” baffled you.
It seems all too easy to do.
[I’ll aim lower, next time]
A simple yes or no, will suffice. I just want to be sure we have you on record. Enough of the gobbledygook. Conflate and obscure all ya want. Yes or no.
Yawn......
If not for my “won't even walk on dewy grass” old girl standing ankle deep in a muddy *bog* under the willow tree, eagerly sniffing at something on the ground and then moving forward to lick it, all my dogs would have died excruciating deaths.
The SPCA and the local sheriff all agreed it was antifreeze but no charges could be filed because no one *saw* him do it, in spite of the fact that he's the only person around here who doesn't adore the dogs *and* nobody else can get to that part of my yard without being seen by *somebody*.
The other neighbor's little Basset/Beagle mix dog “died mysteriously” when no one was around to “help her” but him.
[she foolishly accepted food from him frequently *but* would pee on his lawn and I know that made him irrationally mad even though it did no damage]
Now I have a huge LED UV flashlight and I check the yard perimeters every evening before I let them out.
You don't mention if the dog survived.
I truly, dearly hope it did.
“Police said that Savannah was opening a door at the home to let the dog outside when it jumped on her and knocked her to the floor, biting her on the neck and shaking her violently.”
Chet, she OPENED a DOOR! If that is not provocation, I don’t understand the meaning of the word.
(sad sarc)
I'll deny it.
So far, on this thread alone, I've been called an idiot (three times), CM has wished for my pit bull to 'rip my livin' guts out', I've been called a cold hearted 'basturd', I have been accused of owning a pit bull for the sole purpose of having it eventually kill or seriously injure someone, Salamander has been asked if she's a trannie, EofU has advocated 'lynch mobs' for pit bulls, and implied that he/she has been killing his/her former neighbor's dogs.
Now please, show me the posts of ours that you object to.
“They’d give their lives for you anyway.”
Or rip a babies’ throat out. You know, whatever strikes their fancy.
It's tragic that you cannot ascertain the difference.
Is it my fault if his cadre of parrots are such factually impaired milquetoasts that they feel “bullied” by little ol’ me?
FYI, *I* counseled everyone to -ignore- him and his obsession, wholesale.
Without our “attention”, his ‘faces of death’ posts die on the vine with an average of 8 replies or less because he has become a de facto embarrassment to FR.
Alas, I have no control over what other people do or that his cheerleaders are so easily moved to hysteria.
Speaking of "yawn", I have work to do and trying to explain things in terms even you can understand has wearied me.
Some people have businesses to attend to.
Until next time....
Without a DOUBT it is ok if it is a pit bull.
I don’t even want to know. I worry enough as it is...
Why?
I looked at your home page, and I read your ten points.
First, I thank you for and respect your service.
Second, I agree with 99% of the views you expressed.
Third, I am amazed how someone who seems so reasonable on so many things could make such an incredibly ignorant statement as the one you just posted.
Oh, well ..... I’ll pray for you.
Because they are viscious land sharks that kill children.
I had a 2 year old niece pernmanently disfigured by a neighbors pit bull that “never did that before.”
I am sick of the damned excuses.
So am I.
The owners of that dog should be both sued and prosecuted.
Pugs are a brachycephalic nightmare that spend their lives suffering and suffocating soley for the purpose of “looking cute”.
Pugs have many health problems inherited through the generations.
These afflictions include cleft lip and palate, canine intersexuality, patella luxation, canine hip dysplasia, legg-perthes, pug dog encephalitis, progressive retinal atrophy, trichiasis, entropion, elongated palate, and collapsed trachea.
Entropion is related to the ideal diamond-shaped eye and eyelid of the Pug, as well as the looseness of the skin around the face which cause irritation of the eye and can cause serious damage if left untreated.
The traits which are idealized in the American Standard for Pugs-large dark eyes and skin with deep and large wrinkles, which foster fungal and bacterial infections, are in fact health complications to the living animal.
Both characteristics contribute to eye inflammation and can develop into serious afflictions if not treated.
Do you *really* want to get into debate over which dogs should or should not be "allowed to exist"?
Every Pug suffers for the vanity of some human.
[except for the standard-rejected "bad" specimens which actually have enough muzzle to breathe halfway efficiently]
With this sadistic lot, I’d the say the worries are well-founded.
My pugs are perfectly healthy and visit their veterinarian regularly. AND...they have never and will never kill a child.
Okay, so what’s your criteria for a legitimate poisonee? Any breed that was used to fight in a pit at sometime in the last four hundred years, or just dogs with specific physical or behavioral characteristics?
No Pug is “perfectly healthy”.
It’s impossible due to the genetic flaws mentioned above.
There are only those who are “less afflicted”.
My friend rescued a bunch of them from a very successful show breeder and one is severely encephalitic and “crazy”.
She does *not* let him near any young kids because he will “go berserk” and bite.
