Windows is too big and it’s too full featured for smartbooks and tablets

Because what we need is something too small, locked-down, compromised, and not as feature rich?

Maybe he needs to look at some of those new tablets running 7, with a 10-hour battery life, and the ability to run real programs and not just widget front-ends of websites.

Will Android become the dominant mobile OS?

And:

I have a fully functional notebook that ways under 3 pounds and has a good 8 hours of battery life and is in the price range of a lot of these tablets.

I just don't understand the desire for a device that has the functionality of a smart phone, but a bit bigger screen.

The difference in cost between a smart phone (without the contract), a tablet, and a low end CULV notebook is almost negligible.

I guess if you've got money to burn and need to have every flavor of latest gadget that's great, but it seems like practical uses that aren't met by a smart phone are limited.
