I guess this is why the Greeks are saying that the frogs are coming.

All I can think of is the play by Aristophanes - remarkably enough, another Greek comedy, too.

Have you looked at the Gulf of Mexico lately?
Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.

Impending earth quake sounds good to me...animals feel the earth moving before people do and the smaller the animal is to the ground the more they feel it...but snakes would also be included..along with toads...
Years aback we had a small earthquake in Michigan...I was working on the 3rd floor of the hospital and felt the table move, then I realized the table was bolted to the floor...those on the 6th floor actually felt the building move slightly

I was also going to send you an article about the volcanos in Guatemala and Ecuador. Last night I saw a full moon, and I said to my housemate, “YOu know, I’ll bet we will have a major earthquake or volcano in the next couple of days. Darn, I hate being right. This may be the same article, but if not, feel free to make it a separate post, SC. Meanwhile I hope the Greek frogs are wrong, poor Greece has enough problems.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100529/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_guatemala_volcano OK, it is the same article.

In the early ‘80’s we had a cricket mess in Bakersfield. The local college had to close for a couple of days because the halls were, literally (the REAL “literally”), wall to wall crickets. Crickets were EVERYWHERE (the ALMOST literal, “everywhere”)!

Every once in a great while, when conditions are just right, we get frogs coming out in droves. They start crossing the streets and backroads in the country and what a mess. You simply can’t avoid driving over them and there are smushed frogs all over the roads.
It’s absolutely disgusting.
