I don’t see any forensics there, but I have enjoyed both Bones and NCIS. There are 12 seasons of episodes right there.

I’ll give a hearty “2nd” to the nomination of NCIS.

It’s a very good show, in my opinion. I’m getting ready to purchase the first couple seasons of that one myself.

Bones is terrible. The plots are far too simplistic and contrived, and the premise that the titular character is frighteningly intelligent yet incapable of figuring out social niceties is unrealistic, especially since they haven’t stipulated that she’s borderline autistic/Asperger’s (which would be a nice twist if they could explore it seriously and not play it for laughs).

IMHO, go with Babylon 5, which is well thought-out since it was intended as a multi-year story. It’s a bit slow at the start, but really gets going in seasons 2 and 3, and has some very conservative (and relevant) political themes.
