There is very little "fire" in the poinsetta trees and when there is very little our season has been harmlessI like this old hurricane legend this year.

This one drives me crazy. Have thought about just paying to move the due date one way or the other away from the first day of hurricane season. LOL

We are already having media problems down here. They are agenda laden and its hard to talk sense into them.
My friend in Key West caught 40 dolphin Thursday and one of the tv types from out of town asked him "if he was going to eat those fish" these people do not have a clue.
Does anyone else have any info on past experiences with the loop current feeding the Stream? The only thing I recall is frequent red tides in the winter that get into the loop current, come around the Tortugas get into the stream and usually break up.
They are bad in the area of the Tortugas but rapidly dissipate.
I wonder if anyone knows if the same would be true of crude?

Had to lock in homeowner’s insurance a full week before closing on the house—August 31—because a storm was brewing in the Atlantic. Fortunately, I was watching the weather, and knew to call the insurance agent. Lesson learning—will never plan to close on a house during the height of hurricane season again.

I bought houses a couple of times in August, but that was before the fire/windstorm policy separation and not as problematic.

Yeah thanks,
We have a similar scenario with the Gulfstream, it can be right on top of the reef or 20 miles out.

don't see any African-American names on that list. Won't Sheila-Jackson-Lee be upset?
Don't you know by now, only the vast number of races, that make up "whitey", bring tears and trouble, thus deserving their names to be those of hurricanes.
African-Americans are always the victims, and the trampled upon source of all good. Therefore the name of the "Salvation Army" should be changed to the "Sheila-Jackson-Lee Adores Obama, Our Savior, Army"

Up here in Tennessee we had a huricane preview starting on May 1. We had 14+ inches of rain in 2 days, and flooding beyond belief. We will be years getting over all this. I had a friend visiting and she said this was just like several hurricanes she went through.
I hope you have a very peaceful storm season..... disappointingly so!

Well, as a Lisa myself since ‘66, we are never named storms, so that’s one off the list.
