Fantastic news! Imagine this: well preserved graves from almost 5,000 years ago. What a wonderful opportunity to learn more about early history. This is the very dawn of modern man. Amazing that these things have survived. Where else do we find this level of artifacts from that long ago?

This is good and exciting as they are really old. The more recent stuff from the Roman era of occupation is kind of boring. (Yes, I am saying 2000 year old stuff is a yawn) :-P

I love Zahi! His enthusiasm for all things Egypt is great! And his ‘chainsaw’ accent is too funny a lot of the times! ;-)

Just make sure you’re wearing clean underwear when you go, and you’ll be fine. ;-)

LOL. But since Atlantis, I think of them like the Canadians do, thanks to Rodney McKay: ZedPM! Rolls off the tongue! :-)

Oh, this is going to turn out well...

An archaelogical rhubarb from 2004, mentions Hawass, and has a great quote from Barbara Mertz...

Where's Nefertiti?

Where's that slimy Hawass guy at today? Usually, we get his stick before anyone else gets to comment. Perhaps his me first attitude has gotten the best of him.

Does anyone know where these mummies are time wise with the captivity of the Jews? I'll bet we find some Hewbrews amony the dead. It seems that almost every rock we turn over these dates to the Kingdoms of Saul, David, or Jesus Christ.

"... Does anyone know where these mummies are time wise with the captivity of the Jews?"

These mummies would date to about a thousand years earlier.
