Only if people don’t understand you. Not many kids are better off than yours, you’ve done very well.

Something I’ve always wondered about nose-rings, but haven’t known anyone with one well enough to ask, is “Aren’t they booger traps?”
To: Tax-chick
Anoreth sounds like she is having quite the time!
This all reminds me of the TV commercial for Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World: “His mother has a tattoo that reads ‘Son’ “.

Why should you be any different than the rest of us? I still have to open up the bone closet wide enough for LIGHT to get in, not just dust motes.

I wouldn’t think they would be, given the practice of good hygiene . . . . but that could be a big if.

I’d need six of those, and there’d be no way to keep it from my mother. Besides, I swore a Blood Oath ... No tattoos, no motorcyle, never be a police officer, never work for the CIA. (Never be a teenage mother, but that “expired” in 1986.)

We’re extremely religious radical libertarians. There might be more like us out there ;-). Twenty years ago, I thought parents could do something with a child, but Anoreth knocked that out of me. “Here’s your library card and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Write when you find work!”

The whole picture is beautiful, but it’s the dark icing on top of the chocolate muffin that blows me over the edge.
Did you go out for chocolate?

I LOVE motorcycles, and really enjoy riding pillion! (If I could afford it, I’d have my own H-D.)

Nope. It was too hot, even for me, and my left knee was killing me. No chocolate today, either.
Temps will be falling to the 90’s the rest of this week. *sigh*

If Anoreth actually gets the Vincent, we’ll invite you to visit again, and ride with her. Or go to Seattle, or wherever.

90’s are comfortable for you, aren’t they?
We are having a cooler week, but the temperatures are expected to rise again by next weekend.
I actually have (cherry) tomatoes growing. :-D

Yesterday was 114 here, and today is only 109. We went from late winter to mid-summer overnight.
At least in Spain (so I hear) siestas are still the norm!

Iranian restaurant in Seattle? Hmmm... I know of only one, in the U district. But I don’t think curry is really an Iranian dish — but also, restaurants around the world modify food to the locals’ taste. (Eating at an “American” restaurant in Helsinki was an interesting experience.)
