What do you think of his argument that the native brush is fire resistant?

Perhaps it’s special brush and he wants to burn it one spliff at a time.

I'd have to have a species listing, but in general the idea that a fire-adapted species is "fire resistant" is idiotic. Most burn to the ground like gasoline and restart from the stump or need heat scarification for their seeds to germinate.

Native weeds are really not necessarily fire resistant especially if the property is covered with Chaparral grasses. It has a really low ignition point.
