I tried accessing this address: webmaster@freerepublic.com and came back "unknown". So how does one cancel their registration?

If I left nobody would miss me (some might celebrate). I'd miss you Artemis. Ain't many old timers left. Course, we could always reminisce about A+Bert, Classy Green-Eyed Blonde, and mia-T.
I always get tickled when people say FR is getting too weird. There were some real corkers in the old bunch.

So how does one cancel their registration? Call the Moderators a bunch of homos.
Call Jim Robinson a leftist sell-out weinerhead.
Pimp your blog .
It really depends upon what effect you are hoping to produce.

Once, on another message board, one member got in a snit and demanded that her account be cancelled & all record of her presence be removed. The owner finally did deactivate her account just because she whined so much, but he refused to delete her old posts, because it would have made the threads look bizarre (people carrying on only one side of a conversation, etc.).
Yeah, she was an idiot, too.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Welcome to the threadtel Free Republic.
You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave.
You’ll go what.. one, two, possibly three weeks before you absolutely HAVE to login and read FR.
It’s an addiction, spread over HTML and http.
It’s insidious!
There is no resistance!

Why do you want to cancel?
Hey . . . wait a minute . . . are you by chance a female student at Harvard Law School?
Hmmm.

Is that a good wow, or a bad wow?
It is, technically, Constitutional and legal.
It does follow the given assumptions to a logical end.
