My baby Cardinal did not survive.I believe the fall to concrete is to blame...
I removed the nest and my basket under it.. I cut a branch to open up the center so the birds won’t be tempted to rebuild there.
I had not pruned this spring. I imagine Mom and Dad Cardinal will be busy building another nest elsewhere ...It’s nature’s way...A sad first for me, though.
