Hey, been there, done that, bought the really-expensive-leather-handbags-that-were-still-cheaper-than-buying-here. ;-))

I used to stay at hotels as close to the Spanish Steps as possible. The best one was over on Via Venito which, ironically, was on the same street as the US Embassy and Hard Rock.

If you start out at the Spanish Steps, you can get to Trevi Fountain (try to see this right at sunset, it is fabulous at night) and check out all the trattorias on the the promenade (watch out for the street urchins who swarm and will pick your pockets if you aren't careful). I walked all the way from the Spanish Steps to the Vatican (definite must see). I think you need to take a cab for the Coluseum (isn't it on the outskirts in the old ancient section?). Wasn't able to see much else when I was there, but the street on the way to the Vatican is the one with all the expensive leather shops, at least window shop...;-))

The $10 Trillion Climate Fraud

This is what Beck has been hammering on this week. The alphabets are carefully avoiding it, but good to see IBD picking it up.

>>Hey, been there, done that,

Exactly the advice I was looking for, thanks. I already have the hotel and it is next to a wall in the Vatican City - near a subway stop
