Why would anyone boo Tim Tebow? Florida certainly isn't my favorite team, but I wouldn't boo the guy. He's a gem of guy amongst countless pieces of coal. You'd think any NFL fan would be happy someone like Tebow is even in the league.

Will he be a successful NFL proto-type QB? We will see.

Lots of immature “Gator Haters” out there who forget that it is just a game. Tim will be a good fit at Denver, and he doesn’t even have to change his team colors!

Go Gators and God bless Tim Tebow!

Draft took place in NYC. Do some of those people need a reason to boo?

He is a nice guy for sure, but him being picked before McCoy and Clausen is strange.

With the exception of the Raiders, the league is becoming more and more “thug averse” and is avoiding potential PR nightmares. Besides, what good is a player that is suspended for drugs, DUI, beating his girlfriend, fighting in the club, etc.

Curious why the Broncos thought they had to trade up that far to get him.

Two reasons.

First is he is a practicing Christian.

Second is that there is great doubt he can be a successful NFL QB. I think perhaps some fans would have been easier had he been a later round selection. Lower risk, higher reward if he worked out.

I like him as a person. If a team were going to take a risk at QB he is the logical choice. Good character, highly motivated. Has some natural athletic talent. Questionable if he can learn the skills well enough to be above average at the position but I have no doubt he’ll give 100% of his effort. I’m not sure I would have picked him in the first round but he is someone I can root for to succeed. Especially because it would upset Mel Kiper.

Doubt they were booing Tebow. They should be booing Denver - #25 is WAY too high for someone with Tebow’s talent. Not good value for that pick.

This was a huge reach. It’s perplexing. He’ll end up as an H-Back. That’s a lot to give for an H-Back.

Denver is now at the same point Washington was last year. They have a clueless coach and front office that is hell bent on destroying the team. Tebow, while being a fantastic person and athlete, falls into the category of a guy without a position.

You can map the Broncos first year under McDaniels directly to Zorn’s first year with the Redskins, start off great and then die. Denver will be lucky to win 6 games this year in the woefully inept AFC West.

the conventional wisdom repeated by the secular media today is that it was a reach....Tebow’s numbers say otherwise

As a long time Broncos fan, while I appreciate Shanahans offensive mind, he won Super Bowls with Dan Reeves picks. After those picks departed the team character and success declined. McDaniels is taking the team in a completely different direction, something that needed to be done. Cutler was a baby, Marhsall a wanna-bee Owens.

Tebow was a good pick. Character and leadership, something Cutler/Marshal didn’t have and is critical to a teams success.

Good Luck to Tim, he seems to be a guy that welcomes the adversity, God knows he has enough critics. As far as, McCoy and Clausen, I’d take Tebow over either.

If anyone could accurately predict which college quarterbacks would be successful in the NFL 50% of the time, they’d be very rich.

It’s always a crap shoot.
