Harry Reid claims only 4 votes short for Amnesty!
Email from Numbers USA

It's now or never in the U.S. Senate.

"We're going to come back, we're going to have comprehensive immigration reform now," Sen. Reid declared over the weekend.

Yesterday, the Senate returned to Washington, and staffers were scrambling to fulfill Reid's promise that an Amnesty is the next big push.

Amnesty should be too unpopular for Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to tackle in an election year.

After all, a CNN poll released yesterday showed that 66% of Americans do not want the path to citizenship made easier for illegal aliens. According to the poll, only four in ten Democrats want those changes!

So why would Democratic leaders in Congress want to push amnesty, an extremely unpopular measure, now?

Bottom line is this: Reid knows the upcoming election is shaping up very badly for his party. He may lose his majority in the Senate. He very well may lose his own re-election bid. He's polling way behind in Nevada. He's almost out of tricks.

For Reid, passing an Amnesty bill is literally Now or Never! He wants to push through an amnesty now when he may have the votes to overcome a filibuster. And he must be stopped.

Last weekend, raucous illegal alien rallies were held in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other cities. More are scheduled in Dallas and New York. This is being done with the $30 million raised by our opposition to fund "comprehensive immigration reform."

At a rally of illegal aliens and their supporters in Las Vegas Saturday, Reid said he believed he already had 56 Democratic votes for an Amnesty bill, just short of the 60 needed. And that doesn't count Sen. Lindsay Graham and other Republicans generally favorable to Amnesty.

Our opponents are desperate. I would just say that Reid is a blowhard politician who is obviously pandering to a certain crowd. But let's not make the mistake of taking this man too lightly. After all, he just succeeded in passing another pretty unpopular bill when everyone said it could not be done.

Obviously, Sen. Reid believes that turning 12 - 20 million illegal aliens into voters will help solidify his lock on power. It will shore him up, if you will.

Sounds like it’s time to go to Capitol Hill and start making some citizens’ arrests. The tyrants are out of control.

On the contrary, millions of new voters that have shown themselves to be disrespectful of our laws and hungry for government handouts are just what Reid, Pelosi, and Obama need to stay in power now that they've pissed off their constituents with Obamacare (and other things).

I believe he gets this figure by taking his RAT caucus of 59 and subtracting Stabenow, Byrd, and Dorgan, the three who voted no last time. IOW, he assumes anyone who voted yay last time will do so again and all newcomers are in his pocket. He is obviously quite taken with himself.

THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED. THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THE RETURN TO A REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC. ONCE AMNESTY IS PASSED YOU MIGHT AS WELL PACK YOUR BAGS AND KISS THIS COUNTRY GOODBYE.

Still not sure 20 million Hispanics will help the Dems all that much. They’ll lose twice as many votes as the gain.

I always thought attempts at gun confiscation would be the tipping point. But I’ve been wrong before.

“Amnesty should be too unpopular for Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to tackle in an election year.”

After the vote on what was an extremely unpopular health bill, it’s clear that NOTHING is too unpopular for the kamkikaze Democrats.

Can someone answer this?: Of any proposed amnesty bills what is the time frame for when anybody that received amnesty would be able to vote? That is, would this be a play only for votes in 2012? It would seem even the Dems wouldn’t push through a bill that essentially awarded voting rights in time for November.

This is getting old fast..Last time in 2007 while home on R&R from Iraq,I and my wife spent copious amounts of time on the internet and telephone in touch with family, friends begging for them to contact their Senators, trying to get them to vote nay on the Illegals bill...Now they are at it again. I am coming home within hours back from Iraq once more to deal with this Amenesty II (crap)...My Senators in Arizona(Kyl& McCain)are gonna be hearing from me daily once more..We are gonna prayerfully send McCain home to restful retirement in Sedona. We need to work to send Harry Back to his dustbin of a town Searchlight...We in Arizona know what this Illegals bill is...It’s B.S. pure and simple..........

WHY DO OHAHA AND THE DIMS SUPPORT AMNESTY? B/c druglords are South American Marxists. They can spread Marxism quickly throughout the US by amnestying Marxist druglords (who are bringing drugs and more illegal voters through VZ and Cuba into the US).

============================================

REFERENCE Over and above the millions who violate our borders, 1.5 million legal foreign workers come to the US each year, as a matter of course.

But this number isn’t high enough for Dem Cong Gutierrez and his 92 co-sponsors. Their Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill includes a provision called “recapture” that will add up all the supposedly “unused” work visas since 1992 and issue them immediately.

This is a complete fraud, as all unused work visas are rolled over to the family reunification category the next year as it is.

Gutierrez' Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill will create 100,000 visas from countries that send the most illegal immigrants every year. According to the State Department, this will mean 550,000 new foreign workers.

AND GET THIS Mexico is the staging area for Third World and other illegals preparing to violate our borders. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill rewards Mexico b/c they calculatedly promote illegal immigration.

Gutierrez' bill will make it much easier for more illegal aliens to break in. Under the Bill, to prove they have jobs and were in the country BEFORE Congress passed amnesty, illegals are allowed to use stolen ID's, fake green cards, and fraudulent SS numbers....... without fear of prosecution.

Mexico facilitates the profitable staging area for global illegals to cross the border. Contrary to Obama’s claim that CIR bill will increase border security, it does just the opposite.........

<> it guts successful enforcement measures,

<> limits raids on illegal immigrants,

<> prohibits use of troops on the border,

<> replaces E-Verify used to ensure employers hire legal American workers,

<> overturns all state and local US laws that crackdown on illegal immigration,

<> abolishes 287(g) that allows local L/E and federal authorities to apprehend criminal illegals.

Gutierrez makes Van Jones look like a patriot.
