I lost my job and I am about to become homeless. My landlord is trying to help but I only have til Friday to find a job. I am 52 and I am alone. FReepers are some of the best prayer warriors I know. Please pray for me.
And I can help with spelling, editing and grammar because graphic artists are notorious for not being able to spell :-)
so glad this worked out...fabulous news. :)
“Grooming shops here are closing left and right. I took a few years recently of business tech in college. Not much call for that around here.”
Congrats on the new job. And from your earlier quote, use those business skills to help in your new project! I did some work in a little town with plywood on many of the storefronts.
The dog grooming place was very busy though!? The little building was only 15’ x 25’ in size! They had one of those Dutch(?) half doors so the bottom stayed closed and the top was open. And it seemed like the folks (mostly women) coming into the store enjoyed the time yapping with the groomers as they worked. Sounds like you already have a “name” - and it is probably as much as the grooming as well as your people skills. Perhaps a free cup of Folgers coffee while they wait would be a nice touch too.
I too will hold you in prayer. I’m around your age and fully understand what you are going through. I wanted to give this link to you, you may have heard of it or already have it, but it is a great site for open jobs. And you can get ‘job alerts’, from any area in the US,sent to your email.
