There seems to be some disagreement on where the “edge” of space is. I’ve heard 60 miles referred to as the edge at one point. My money is on where planes can no longer fly without oxygenated fuel.

Several definitions have been used, the lowest of which is 50 miles (US Military and NASA astronaut badges). The others are the international standard 100 km (62.1 miles, The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale Kármán line), NASA’s reentry altitude 76 miles, and around 100 miles, the lowest a satellite can remain in orbit for a period of time.
