The problem with the KJV is that it was political, along with the Westminster Confession of Faith. King James did a lot of very nasty things, including parading himself in public as a poofter, but he did rid England of the Puritans. The Dutch were next to get rid of them and they wound up here...
Looks like theyre making out down in that basement...
Joey Smith would be proud...
vestal virgins and “priests”
It is sad, I agree. We may have fun, especially on threads like this, but the undercurrent is always that we are fighting FOR them and their souls, not WITH them.
They are deceived greatly and this is a very real spiritual battle as well.
;)
Kitty porn? really resty...shame on you. ;)
I have a replica of the Geneva Bible with the Anti-James introduction. That is a fun read.
I love the KJV for memorization and public recitation, but for devotional/study reading I won’t touch it.
LOL. I’m stealing that.
Well, as you know, I have little tolerance for either Calvin or Luther. Or the even crazier Zwingli. The fun thing is reading them dissing each other. The sad thing is that they started the fractioning of the Church. From my perspective, anyway.
HAHA, you are very misinformed. You are obviously from the south. It’s funny how this thread was about a student committing assault and most people are only talking about the church he is a member of. Logically, Satan would target the biggest threat to his evil work, and I’ve seen this particular church targeted over and over again for the most ridiculous reasons and with the most uninformed people. If you’re sincerely interested in the LDS church, I suggest you get your information from the source, which is the LDS church. From my experience, most people just go by what their pastors or ministers say, and assume that they are hearing the truth. But really, a true Christian church wouldn’t attack another church, which is evidently what you’ve been doing. You may be a pastor yourself, feeding people these lies to keep them from leaving your church, or maybe you are just one of those who has been deceived by false information.
If I perceived that you were sincere and honest to heart, I would make an effort to clear up your unanswered questions, however, I only perceive that you think you are right, and no matter what I say, you will be stubborn and stick to your weak arguments.
Just a bit of advice- the word “cult” has several meanings. Any religion could be a cult, and it isn’t necessarily a negative term. You might want to come up with something less vague.

Pretty much, the intro is a fun read. And being a historian, particularly a Church historian, I love documentary arguments, letters back and forth, ‘secret histories’ that kind of stuff.
The Bible itself was a gift years ago.
Wow you must be new to lds, speaking as a "whore of babylon" per Joe Smith.
Because you are new apparently you have not seen information given directly from lds sources.
Any religion could be a cult, and it isnt necessarily a negative term. You might want to come up with something less vague.
Ok, how about "demon spawn".
Lookie whose back...
Okay! Great, so you’ve proven my point that you’re not a true Christian yourself. Good job.

Good point!
I vote for the word "SCAM"...
Yea. What is a true Christian, as you see it.
Did you miss the part about the very foundation of lds is trashing other Christians?
Its ok, lets stick to one question at a time. It will be easier for you.
What is a true Christian as you see it?
Oh, and beside you asked that the description not be vague. “demon spawn” is not vague.
You noted how the “knowledgeable because they are active LDS” just blew right past that little nugget...
Sure did! I am close to someone that dated the suspect. From what I’ve heard, I don’t like him at all and think he should serve a long time in prison. It’s the BYU and the LDS church part that people are throwing out of proportion. The church has nothing to do with it.
