You may or may not be slandering the LDS church intentionally, but to set the facts straight, no one is coerced to do anything. If a member prefers not to meet with a particular home teacher, all they need is to ask for a new one, which is something that this victim simply neglected to do.

How do you know she neglected to do that?!?!? I asked for a new HT when I was at BYU housing and I was refused 3 times. I finally moved to a different ward to get away from him.

He did get some religious fanatics, but he also got more gangsters, outlaws, thieves, murderers, cutthroats, prostitutes, and these he put closest to him in choice leadership spots and to “rule” over the more gullible worshippers of his so called worthy egotistical imagination..
With them he started an army of 5,00 and made himself a general complete with a uniform and sword..he also made himself the mayor of his own town..
He started a bank to cheat people and printed $3 bills..
Whaen he had made a lot of money and he got caught aND THE Bank went bust and he was charged and fined he just skipped town.... but he kept the phony money circulating and had quite a money laundering business umong the Chrsitians that he called “gentiles” (infidels) in Missouri and Ohio..
He even cheated his own gullible disciples...when someone just GAVE a lot of land to him for his disciples, instead of handing the land out, he didnt tell them it was free, but he SOLD the lots to them...he made a fortune just on that scam alone...
Joey Smith joined the Freemasons and went up to the highest level in a few days...he learned all their secrets and incorparted some into his religious cermonies...later the Freemasons were in a crowd outside a certain jail and got him for betraying the oaths he had sworn of secrecy...

Joey Smith interoduced bigamy that he called polygamy, and said it was “celetial marriage” and that the mormon god was a polygamist and the mormon jesus was a polygamist and most of the men in the Bible had been polygamists and that polygamy was necessary to get into the mormon after life...the mormon god said so...and the mormon god had called it a “new and everlasting covenant” ...well it did last 47 years...
Later Briggy Young said that monogamy...one man one woman was prostitution and that the mormon god didnt like it...that the only “holy” people were those who practiced polygamy...
Now Joey Smith had a legal wife that he had stolen away one night because her wise father had warned her not to marry the shiftless no good Smith...
Whe Emma Smith found out that Joey Smith was cheating on her wholesale and committing adultery with anything in skirts, she objected strongly...
Joey Smith had been “adopting” young girls and then adding them to his “stable” errr “harem”...Emma discovered that zjoey Smith was having sex with the girls righ t in her own house...
Now Joey Smirth must have thought that Emma was thinking “whats so called good for the goose, is good for the gander” and that she might get wandering eyes and decide to practice polygamy the other way...with a troop of good looking guys...
So Joey Smith and a couple of friends wrote doctrines and covenants 132...as a threat against Emma...the words include a warning to her not to indulge in polygamy herself..and that if she didnt let Joey Smith continue in his adultery the motrmon god would destroy her...well we know how that turn out...he may as well have not bothered to abuse his wife in that way...the REAL God destroyed Joey Smith and Emma went on to live a long life...which did not include the foul evil of polygamy..
Joey Smith declared himself king of the world and ran for president of the United States claiming that the mormon god was going to make him ruler and theocratic dictor over the United states of America..
Joey Smith got so delusioned in the end he even boasted he was greater than God...and so God destroyed the false prophet Joey Smith..

When you do this, you are contradicting yourself. Those who are most aware are the current and active members. You may have just recently been ex-communicated (I assume you were, otherwise, you wouldn’t claim yourself as an “exmormon”, but rather “inactive” or “less-active.”) or you may have been ex-communicated years ago, but either way, you will forget a lot.

Grey and I have both been out of the LDS church a very long time. We keep up on our studies, reference material, read LDS articles more often than the LDS even do and keep up on our studies. Considering how much LDS doctrine changes on a whim that is quite a bit of work.
I resigned in the early/mid 1990’s. Just because you seem to have memory issues due to your activity, doesn’t mean everyone else does.
Just because we speak out against Mormonism, doesn’t mean we have grudges to hold or were ex-communicated.
However your response shows just how much Mormon Kool Aid you have been drinking.
I am sorry you went back to being active LDS trying to earn godhood rather than becoming a Christian, saved by faith alone in the Grace of Christ and His blood shed on the CROSS (not the garden).
And the LDS church is ANYTHING but civil, ethical, or Godly. The more I study Mormonism, the more I see that it is Satanic in origin.

As opposed to those of us who have researched the LDS and their practices, Joseph Smith and his con artist ways, and the fraudulent methodology of beginning and then continuing the LDS church? Jesus the Christ was a carpenter's son, not a glass looking con man.
I went inactive for some time, and forgot a lot.

All of the books that I had that were collecting dust in my closet while I was inactive still had all the same doctrine that they are teaching today.
Then why did the rites change?
My point is, the LDS church is perfectly civil and ethical.
It began in fraud and will end when that fraud ends.
Negative on a bunch of counts. It was not the first English version, it was not the most accurate version, and the LDS version has been significantly changed from the 1611 version. Before you go and tell people who you think the Latter Day Saints are, you need to get your facts straight.
It is not the Christians that are the most factually challenged. I will put St. Irenaeus or St. Ambrose up against Joseph Smith any day.
