I just read Anticancer by Dr. David Servan-Schreiber. It is fascinating how what we put in our mouths affects cancer. He points out that hydrogenated oils, partially hydrogenated oils, and sugar feed cancerous tumors. Instead of taking a drug that blocks sugar, he has kept his very aggressive tumor at bay by simply not eating sugar.

I should add that he does many other things as well, not just avoiding sugar. He avoids all processed foods and eats mainly veg and fruit. He eats proteins that are very high in omega-3’s and exercises every day.

Could you send me the source for the information? I know of a little kid who is fighting cancer.

Years ago, I recalled seeing a documentary on TV where they showed cancer cells in a Petri dish. They said they put sugar into the dish because CANCER needed SUGAR to survive and grow.

So when I had my serious bout with cancer, I eliminated all sugar. It was very difficult since most everything contains it. But I did it.
