Yeah, and it is precisely that attitude on the part of British capitalists that gave birth to Marxism. Unless business is kept honest, society loses in the long run. Economists as early as Adam Smith understood that dangers of “balls to the wall” capitalism. “I’ve got mine, Jack, and you can go to hell”. No thanks.
Exactly, the attck on morality and the church will destroy capitalism as much as any other entity.
Lord knows what I see that passes as ethical out of business school graduates these days is laughably inadequate.
Capitalism is an “ism” left to its own devices without anything regulating and overseeing it, can and will be just as destructive as any other “ism”.
Unless business is kept honest, society loses in the long run.
Sorry, but being a "sorry specimen for a human being" and being a "total SOB" -- is not a matter for society to deal with, in regards to laws and ethics -- either inside companies or outside companies (in someone's home, either)... LOL ...
That's purely up to however a company wants to run things for itself, and is a company's own business, and how successful it wants to be... and no one should interfere there.
And you'll notice that I already said that if someone breaks the law, that's one thing -- but other than that -- I absolutely don't care if they are the worst human being in the world, because it makes no difference to me, when I'm buying products from a company.
I'm buying "products" and I'm not buying their "qualities as a human being".... LOL ...
If someone wants to work on their "human being qualities" -- they can go to church and pray to God. They work on those things in church, doncha know.
Companies are not churches and if SOBs work there -- that's fine -- as (once again) -- I absolutely don't care how many SOBs a company has, when it is not a legal matter or a societal matter that it has no business controlling.
I only care about the product that I'm buying and how much it costs and if it's worth it for me and if it represents a good quality product in what it does.
And for what I've seen and used and experienced directly -- Apple has that, with their products -- such that I'm more than happy to buy their products.
