Weird stuff seems to go with major comets. When a comet appeared in A.D. 60, the people of Rome assumed it meant the impending death of their still new emperor, Nero. He responded by exiling a potential rival. When another comet turned up just 4 years later, ancient historians say he ordered the execution of dozens of nobles. It is said that Moctezuma II saw a comet in 1517 that foreshadowed the downfall of Aztec empire. In 1910, a wave of hysteria swept over the United States amid reports that Earth was about to pass through Halley's tail.

Pat is probably in a state of confusion about the world around him. Life is good! He was just as loving as the other boys, so of course, I didn’t see him as an alien. And of course, we never got around to a conversation in Greek.
(I’ll be sending out the other thingys in tomorrow’s mail.)

I sent you some pictures yesterday.
Pat is Poorly today. He ate a few bites of supper and has gone to bed. He’s usually better after a day.

Meta-states tend to be constantly in flux.
They also, at times, synchronize with normal matter states.

In other words, he’s in and out of our “reality.” Exactly what we observe.

Tell Pat I’ll hug him while he is sleeping, so he will be better soon. He can dream, can’t he?
I’m waiting!!! I still need to play with the photos I took. The Elusive Bill never made the news in my hometown.

Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me...I’m fluxing over the lack of synchronization with my meta- and my normal states. (Nevada and North Carolina?)

Yes.
Think of his reality as one strand of string that is being wiggled.
Think of normal reality as a second string being wiggled next to it.
As the strings coincide, his reality crosses into ours, and vice versa.
And he appears in our reality, and we in his.
Now, taking into account that it is said the same for my existence as well, what happens when all possible realities coincide and synchronize?
*meta-state theory brain ker-pop*
Ouch.

Pat has a secret: He’s never out of his own reality so he’s always comfortable where he is. If that gets tweaked, he feels it as a lessening of himself, and becomes “ill” until he can repair it. If he were an only child, he would have an invisible friend.
89 degrees here, no wind to speak of and some “rain” in the offing for tomorrow. I suspect most of it will fall as “virga” but that’s OK. It still makes the air smell good.

My sis makes subliminal suggestions, and I inspire madness.
Why, all three of us together could rue the galaxy.

"I kinda liked The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Often movies like that refresh my brain ~ a little Whimsy Therapy." I notice that in the Nick Park movies, when it comes time for the big chase, it's the dog that does the chasing; not running, but operating a vehicle.
I love that dog. How many do you know that can knit?

The census called. I almost told them Bill was in a delinquents’ home and Pat was Out of Phase on April 1, but I restrained myself. And I didn’t tell them there were two of James R.
