Half hour to go (approximately)

A pre-taped Paula Abdul tribute to Simon, gives way to Paula being live on stage. Looking HOT in a pink dress.

The crowd goes nuts.

Paula: It's fantastic being here tonight!

She says I'm here to tell the real reason why I left. "There's a baby back stage with your haircut. And, sweetheart, it's your turn to feed him."

And it keeps going. I find myself worrying what Paula might say or do. It's a bit awkward toward the end. But it ends.

We now see a montage of Simon clips, with Sinatra's "My Way" playing in the background.

OMG...I had to get on the computer....I only caught the last few sentences of Paula, but I got embarrassed for her....she expected applause and got none till Simon started it....it was so awkward...

Check it out. All the prior idols are singing. That’s the coolest thing they’ve ever done. About time they did that! Brilliant move! Now the other alumni are comin’ out. That’s so cool. Tonight’s show makes all the bad ones moot. Now why can’t they deliver every week???? Maybe next year....
