Sing at your American Legion halls, etc. Just learn how to pick good songs cuz I find that I can really love a song but I simply cannot do it. There are plenty more! Saving vibrato for ends of phrases is fine. Experimenting with vibrato is fine. Casey just didn’t know what to do cuz Blue Skies should never be sung that slow. I think they’re trying to get rid of Casey cuz Blue Skies isn’t hard and Rod Stewart sang it too. So did Willie Nelson! The tempo killed Casey. Casey didn’t kill Casey. He wasn’t experienced enough IMO to say, wait, wait, wait, let’s speed that up a bunch. I would have put in for faster. Casey didn’t demand it. I have no control over that vibrato! LOL! I have an Alison Krauss-type of voice. I know about not singing songs I love but can’t sing well. As for AI, none of these folks seem to really know how to push for what they want to do except Dreads.
