Hi, All...haven't read the thread but did just see the show. I thought Crystal's breakdown was real and it made me cry. I do the same thing when I sing at Mass...just burst out bawling.
Here's today's Post:

TATTLE TALE: "Idol's" Crystal Bowersox confided in Ryan Seacrest (left).

Thanks for posting this story, Didi. It makes more sense than the Seacrest version.
"She had a moment backstage and they made it into something it wasn't," said the friend. "She's still in the game." By yesterday, sentiment was beginning to turn against Seacrest, who has portrayed himself as the knight on a white horse in what fans are now calling "Crystalgate."
Seacrest shouldn't get all the blame, imo. I believe Idol was behind this too, trying to exploit a non-event (that should have remained private) for ratings.

I thought Crystal's breakdown was real and it made me cry. Same here. (Her eyes are moist if you can catch a replay.)

I agree that it was genuine, too. IMO, everything just hit her all at once. You could see she was fighting it for a while (hand on the chest).
Seacrest is a tool. He was just trying to get the heat off of himself and took a little incident and made himself look like the shining knight who saved the day.
