Why was DDT banned in the first place? Was it rumored to cause cancer or something? Having thousands die from malaria is so much better!
No, it was an environmental issue. It was killing the planet, causing animals to be endangered, etc. None of it was true, but some woman went on the crusade to have it banned.

If they said DDT caused cancer or something (even though that's not true either) I could at least see the logic of wanting to ban it. But banning it over thin eggshells is insane. And it's a lie too.
