Look at how many people claim they are African-American, and that Africa is their 'home'.

How many of them have even EVER been to Africa?

Exactly. Many African-Americans refer to Africa as the "Homeland" all the time. This isn't a smoking gun.

Wrong. They are talking ethnicity, not where they were born. Two different things obviously. Know any African-Americans from Jamaica? I met a lot when I got married there over the summer.

The only people I’ve ever met who said Africa was their home were people who actually were from Africa. Not people whose father, whom they never knew and with whom they never lived, much less lived in Africa.

I’m not saying you get from Michelle’s remark to “he was born there.” I’m just saying it’s ridiculous how romantic these people are about Africa, all the while the POTUS seems fairly remote from the American experience.
