If this man goes to jail then Rusty Yates ought to be going right along with him IMHO. I think this is a case where we don't know everything or it is bad judgment. I feel bad for the dad but if he knew his wife was crazy why didn't he leave with the child? Would you stay with a man knowing he might harm your children?

No, I wouldn’t.

I guess I’m just disagreeing with the rulings that he should pay and his wife get off because she’s *mentally ill*.

She did the deed. That makes her guilty, her mental state notwithstanding.

To me it looks more like what others have mentioned, that someone is frustrated that the wife got off on an insanity plea and they’re looking for someone to blame.
