You KNOW what I did! LOL I don’t guess I snored any b/c no one poked me! Sit still for 2-3 hours in the dark?! BWAHAHA

Good for you! God knew you needed a good nap.

I’m not sure it’s quite a WHOLE week with no crazies! LOL Not sure there is such a thing anymore!

You'll always have them. Some are liberal/entitlement people, some others don't put enough effort into it and blame others when it doesn't work as (poorly) planned, and some just really need a lot of help.

I like helping that last group best. :-D

Hey! Still snowing where you are? 80 and sunny today, sposed to be 85 tom. The pine pollen is unbearable, the weather is great, and in another couple days the gnats and mosquitoes will be out. Personally, I think we’re going to get more cold, but hey, I’ve sold a LOT of plants. We are so busy it’s not funny. Busier than last year by far, and last year was the busiest we’ve ever had.

Not a bad thing—If I survive! LOL

some just really need a lot of help**

And some need WAY more than I can give! LOL

I like helping too, just wish I could spread it out more. Three to four months of solid Christmas-Eve-at-Walmart shoppers wears on anybody.

God knew you needed a good nap.**

I can’t sit still on a normal day without falling asleep! LOL

The older I get, the less patience I have. Sigh

The older we get, the more common sense we develop, which leaves us shaking our heads at the ones who don’t.

That’s life.

I wish I was just shaking my head. Snarly, as one friend put it. I’m snarly.

Mirror, mirror on the wall
I have become my mother after all.

LOL

Strange snow storm today. Several bands came through with whitrout blowing snow and the next instant it was just very windy with clear blue skies. Off and on like that all day. Glad to hear business is good.

Any snow storm is a strange storm! LOL Two flakes here and they close school. Three and the panic is on—everyone heads to the store for milk and bread and toilet paper!

True story MC. Wife and I went to the funeral of our retired Pastor this afternoon and within 15 minutes of getting home she had changed clothes and was out mowing the front lawn as the weather was clear and warmer. Out of concern for her I took my glass of red wine out and drank it in my garden office in case the mower got stuck and I had to call the towing service for her...

The ones that get to me the worst are the ones that come in and the first thing they say is, “I want some good plants. Make sure you get me good ones. I don’t want any ugly plants.”

Sigh. They really get to me. We throw away stuff that looks better than what Walmart and Lowes sell. We don’t have any ugly plants.

Yes, the compost pile is on the ground. I discovered the fire ant nest w/ eggs towards the bottom of the pile while turning it over.

I’ll give your suggestion a try today, thanks.

These are NOT Lady Bugs. These are Asian beetles (they are orange - not red.) I suspect these little devils actually eat lady Bugs because I’m not sure when I last saw a real Lady Bug. It’s been years. I haven’t seen any aphis either, so I’m sure that these beasts clean those up too. THey winter over in the cracks around your windows, and I don’t care how tight those windows are, they manage to work their way inside.

Well the clouds of pine pollen are gone. It starts out slow a little pollen each morning and then for two - three days BOOM! You can actually see the pollen erupting from the trees - Poooft! Poooft!

I remember being in my garden a few years and looking at the Monterey Pines on our north boundary when they all seemed to shutter at the same time and this huge cloud of pollen filled the air. Redwood trees must do something similar as my pickup will get dusted. We had the pines taken out to enlarge the garden and improve the forage for our neighbors cow in his field...

RE: ladybugs I hear you. We don’t seem to have the orange ones here, altho my sis in Raleigh is inundated with them every year. Maybe they don’t like salt water?!

Glad your pollen is gone! Ours is still here, but lessening. Everything is coated in yellow-green.
