The Obamas arrived at Grimaldi’s in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge at 1 p.m. with security that kept Old Fulton Street in lockdown for two hours.

The group, which included two staffers, sat at three tables covered with the traditional red-and-white checked tablecloths, while 10 Secret Service agents took positions around the room.

Regular customers were surprised to find secret service agents surrounding the pizzeria as they arrived for their usual bite to eat. They were asked to wait until the First Lady was done. Michelle Obama caught the musical Memphis over the weekend with daughters Malia and Sasha.
