What should the next Congress force Democrats to buy?
Posted on 03/24/2010 5:29:00 PM PDT by redbaiter
Assuming that the shoe is on the other foot come January, and given that we have established that Congress can force people to buy things, what should the next Congress force Democrats to buy?
Handguns?
A copy of the Constitution?
Incontinence aids? (These would be taxable medical devices, remember)
Untreated pine boards? Turnips? Spittle?
Your ideas below, please.

Cigarettes!!!
The CHIP (Child Health Insurance Program) is funded by tobacco taxes. And it is not just the children of smokers who need health care. Non-smoking parents also need to “have some skin in the game.”
If the non-smokers argue unconstitutional, then remind them that, under the SCOTUS Wicker decision (1942) regarding the Interstate Commerce Clause, their non-participation in the tobacco market affects the supply/demand balance of the market, therefore allowing the Feds to regulate non-market participants.

Ball and chains, pick axes and shovels for all those shovel ready jobs. Yes, they’ll be compensated. $.50/hour.

I'm gonna say we should make them pay for a mural listing the human rights violations of socialist/communist countries since 1900. It will take up a space roughly the size of Rhode Island and we'll make them buy tickets to go visit. Afterward they'll need to write a five page paper on human rights violations in these countries and how their governmental systems are conducive to them.

We should force all police departments to privatize as Blackwater contractors and all freight and transportation should be handled by Haliburton.

You beat me to it.
ALL DemonRats in CONgre$$ (and their “staff”), every single CZAR, the entire OLiar administration, ACORN, SEIU/unions, and every single ObamaBot,Marxist/Communist/Socialist residing the the US should be FORCED to buy a one way ticket to Cuba, North Korea, China or the “utopia” Marxist or Communist country of their choice.
Why not FORCE them to live under the tyranny that they so lust after? Now that’s what I’d call true SOCIAL JUSTICE for Americans.
