Here's another interesting question that wades into an area that just frustrates me: Religion.

Some dope on Facebook the other day said basically that following Jesus' teachings commands us to all be good little communists/collectivists/socialists and to build gov't. a la Nobama -- because it 'helps the poorest among us'.

This is of a piece with the lefty Protestant bishops and ministers and the goobers at the World Council of Churches -- the same gang that sent Elian G. back to Fidel in Cuba in a jet they chartered.

America gives more to charity, via churches and charities, more than any country in the world. Voluntarily. Basically these people are saying that that isn't enough, and that the gov't. has to mandate taking whatever % it wants from you in order to 'follow Jesus.'

A bigger perversion of Christianity I cannot imagine, especially seeing that everywhere socialism exists, it is by all counts Godless (esp. Europe, where the churches are all empty and the states are all de facto secular and going dhimmi to the Muslim minorities at an alarming rate).

The frustration is that the stance these people take is: I follow Jesus, YOU are evil if you oppose the politics.

How do fight that kind of special, Olympic-class, world-record-beating idiocy??? If people are voting on that basis, then the masses truly are a$$e$...;-))

Jesus never once said that we should be foolish and tear ourselves down under the illusion that it would help somebody else. That poster on FB obviously doesn’t read the bible.

hello everybody
