Bill Graham and Jann Wenner ran the music business in SF so therefore they get in before Grateful Dead or Jefferson Airplane. Why are Jefferson Airplane in when their two most famous songs are Great Society songs?

Jefferson Airplane gets in for White Rabbit and Somebody To Love, blockbuster songs of the late 1960s. Huge, huge hits at a time when listeners weren’t driven by playlists but by what they liked. Radio had to change and it did. Jefferson Airplane was one of the biggest influences on the change.
