If they can't handle Lutefisk, (FYI: Herring rotted or something in Lye) Try Surstremming, a Swedish delicacy, eaten on roofing shingles and mandatorily washed down by frozen Akvavit. (Sterilizes and anesthetizes the intestinal tract in case of the often necessary immediate emergency abdominal surgery.)

A couple of these family parties, and you can see why many Vikings couldn't wait to clear out to go a-viking, and considered even medieval Irish and English cuisine kinda nifty!

Well, of course they/we wanted to go a-Viking. The wimmen were beautiful, the land was green and pastoral, the weather was nice, the beer was good, and the people were just waiting for a good time.
