Stupid question, but can nurses and physician assistants pose in white jackets usually signifying doctors to the general public? Is that some type of fraud?

not a stupid question at all. What is the answer?

According to previous posts, both people standing with 0 are heads of a union/organization, probably not even doing actual health care any more.

A few years ago the term “health care provider” was introduced to diminish the power of the term “doctor.”

Anyone who provides care can wear a white coat even people who work in day spas.

The immediate association of white coat signifying doctor goes back to the early days of tv advertising.
