The four year old daughter of Ax Men star, Jesse Browning, was killed over the weekend after being mauled by the family's dog.

Inquisitir.com reports Browning's little girl, Ashlynn Anderson, was attacked by the rottweiler. The mauling happened at the family's Oregon home. Browning reportedly called 911 around 1pm Sunday. The little girl was airlifted to a Portland hospital, but couldn't be saved. She was pronounced dead on arrival.

Clatsop County Sheriff Tom Bergin was quoted as saying, “This mom just happened to look out and saw the dog and the child laying there. Apparently, the dog just snapped.” Bergin said everything possible was done to save the girl, but she had lost too much blood.

Jesse Browning works for the family business, "Browning Logging," which is featured on The History Channel show Ax Men.

A request for more information from the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, regarding the exact cause of death and what will be done with the rottweiler involved in the attack, was not immediately answered.

May God bless the Browning family and give them strength and peace.

If the dog is still alive, I’m sure the old man Browning — Jesse’s tough as nails dad and the little girl’s grandfather — J.M. Browning will make sure the dog never harms another being.

Rotts are even stupider than Pits, and just about as strong.

A really poor choice for a pet. - I would go for a Border Collie.

A few years ago our Jack Russel named Bobo who is now in puppy heaven, barked and barked until my husband got out of bed and followed him to the den. A floor plug had shorted out and was shooting sparks and about to set fire to the sofa that was sitting directly over it. Bobo became a hero dog after that.

Dachshunds are famous for being bad tempered biters. So far I haven't heard of them maiming or killing a person...... yet.

Thank God for that 4 legged friend! Glad your parents are OK. I had an auto start on my vehicle years ago. It had to be parked outdoors. I never thought about it turning on in a closed garage before. I am sure they will check that from now on.

I personally feel dogs don’t “just snap”.

I know of a few cases where rottweilers turn into mean dogs almost overnight. It seems like some males have a switch in them that goes off when they reach 3 or 4 years old. I wonder if the family missed some small signs that could have alerted them to the dog becoming aggressive? It’s a real shame the little girl lost her life.

Both of my sons were bitten by different dachshunds when they were young boys. They did not provoke either dog. One bite required a visit to the ED. I did not do anything about it as the dogs belonged to extended family members. Just kept the boys away from those mean little suckers.
