LOL ... that was cute.

Did you watch California Gold when they were in Bakersfield. That is Buck Owen’s bar/museum.

I’ve had to tell Marissa that she is not allowed to listen to or watch Lady GaGa. She is old enough that she understands the lesbo thing and why she cannot watch it.

Sad that a 10 year old understands Adam and Eve and Adam and Steve and Eve and whoever.

No, I didn't see California Gold in Bakersfield, but what a coincidence! We went to Buck Owens' Crystal Palace and Museum last Saturday night for dinner with my cousin and her husband. It was our second time there and we had a blast, both times. Buddy Alan, Buck Owens' son, was there singing with the Buckaroos. They performed "Streets of Bakersfield" along with a variety of C&W music. The food was great, the entertainment was fabulous and the Chocolate Martinis are to die for!

Most of the Buckaroos are the original musicians/singers who played with Buck Owens back during the "Hee Haw" era. I am not a big country western music fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed the two hour show they put on Saturday night. Loved watching the people on the dance floor and listening to the music and, did I mention the Chocolate Martinis? :-)

OMGosh! Yes, that is very sad. I don't know what the kids are listening to today, but what little I have seen and heard is quite alarming. I watched a woman guest singer on American Idol last night who was absolutely bizarre. She was singing some nonsensical song called "Blah, Blah, Blah" and gyrating around on the stage in an strange costume with an Indian headdress. I thought that it couldn't get much worse back when my son was a teen, with Ozzy Osbourne, KISS and Metallica, etc....but, apparently, I was wrong.
