I’m so glad you got to see it, Billie, as I know how much you love horses!
I had to leave the theater half way through - just the thought of all those rats running around the kitchen, (pooping everywhere) just made my stomach turn.
Someone once said, "Only Walt Disney could make a 'rodent' look cute!"
I agree.
I guess you are right about Walt Disney.
Good night, Jaycee! No snoring tonight, PLEASE! Heard you all the way in Arizona last night! And trust me, it was LOUD!LOL!
What did your granddaughters say when you had to leave. Didn’t they want to finish the movie? When its cartoonish, it doesn’t bother me. I don’t want them in the house though. I have never had a problem here, thank goodness.
Barry has had a bit of problem as of late. He noticed something in the kitchen. He lives in the woods and he says there are probably many places they can get in. So he set a trap the other day and got one. He was going to reset it to see if he got anymore. Goodnight.
*grin*
JC, I left for only a few moments, and tiapam was there with them. Yes - it was a cartoon - but I am so repulsed by rodents scurrying around that I just started squirmming, and wriggling in my seat, and I knew I had to get out of there.
Pack rats have done serious damage to my vehicles, costing a lot of money to repair. When they get into the engine, they chew up the wiring system.
In Phoenix, they have “roof rats” that love the oranges growing there. But, they don’t stop with oranges, they tear up the attic, roof, and then ‘sneak’ into the houses, foraging for whatever they can find to chew.
I’m sorry - I just can’t find them very ‘cute’ - even in cartoons.
Goodnight, dear friend. Sweet dreams to you - and may Angels surround you, and sprinkle you with Angel Dust.
When my brother-in-law was a missionary in Mali, West Africa, he was involved in a traffic accident. A man had wandered into the road in front of Chucks motorcycle. The cycle struck the man and sent Chuck and the bike sliding along the ground for more than 200 feet. Shortly after Chuck regained consciousness in the hospital, his doctor told him he had been really lucky. Chuck smiled and replied, God is good.
Later he thought about the days events. The man who was struck hadnt received any permanent injuries, and Chuck would also recover from his injuries. But what if one of them had been killed? He thought, God would be no less good.
When we experience tragedy, we may wonder about Gods goodness. Is God always good? Yes, He is. He doesnt promise that bad things will never happen to us, but He does promise to be our refuge and strength (Ps. 46:1). He doesnt promise that we will never walk through heart-wrenching circumstances, but He promises that we wont be alone (23:4).
God is goodno matter what suffering we are experiencing. Even when we dont understand, we can say with Habakkuk, Yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation (3:18).
