On christmas I found an old cardbox with letters, pictures etc. from my youth at my parents house. Among those is an entire staple an American girl sent me about 15 years ago. We were both around 16 back then. She was for two weeks in Germany for a holiday or school exchange or something like that. We became great friends and for the following 6 months after her departure she literally sent a salvo of teenage loveletters and I didn't wrote her back ever.
Now I found her on Facebook, still with her maiden name and looking cute to boot. Really, really attractive woman from Ohio near the great lake. I thought about contacting her but then I found that she also appears in this database:
http://www.courtinformation.info
What does that mean if you're in that database? She has 3 entries.
Or even a parenthesis.
I’m a German. No entries.
.."FACEBOOK and court records.....hmmmm, join in on her friends list first, chat a little, ask questions like, so what's parole like?...what alias's you use?...ya know friendly stuff"
Thanks for all the replies. I’ll contact her (would have done it either way) and wish her well and some.
A good example of the inability of the spellchecker to defeat basic ignorance!
“Ill contact her (would have done it either way)...”
Which begs the question...
LMAO at alot of the replies!
I’m satisfied with my life and would have no chance to relocate to the US without starting from zero again. I just want to send her some nice wishes and got curious when I found her in that database.
I am listed in there for every place I have ever resided. I don’t know why, unless it has something to do with my voter registration. The times I have ever been to court (traffic ticket, marriage) are NOT listed (not even when I served Jury Duty).
Yeah, they're so... final.
I’m listed 5 times under my maiden name. Speeding tickets.
Those entries would probably not indicate any criminal activity but likely indicate traffic tickets or possibly a divorce. I wouldn’t give it a second thought.
I’d guess at least 70 percent of Americans have a traffic ticket of some kind. And those internet databases are junk anyway.
I (we) had a difficult surgery when we were unseparated as Siamese twins and I (we) filed a lawsuit (suits).
I (we) are not criminals.
At least I'm not.
(I'm not EITHER!)
We disagree...
Hehehe single guys (recently one myself).
Guy 1: Did you hear Debbie killed her husband?
Guy 2: Oooh, she’s single?
Experience speaking? That 2am no one else will answer the phone was not as pleasant as you hoped?
;-)
Is it civil or criminal?
that would be hugh wouldn’t it?
LOL... shhhhh CJ, they don't know that. :-)
How are you, this fine semi-chilly day?
I don’t know. It isn’t stated there. I heard that she got into contact with “drugs” from one of her German girlfriends some time after she left. Back then that probably didn’t bother me as we started to smoke like theres no tomorrow right around that time. That’s all 15 years ago and we were kids back then.
I’ll write her some nice words in the next days.
