As part of my daily routine, I'm reading a conservative online newspaper. I click the headline about "citigroup", and right away I repost the "facts" on a social network. Only to further reasearch it, (right here on good ole free republic) and find out, not so fast..it isn't as it seems. In fact, Citigroup makes a statement contrary to the entire article. So I take personal responsibility for taking it at face value, but shouldn't those kind of headlines be relegated to somewhere besides the front page?
Reasearch =research
What are you talking about? My esp is all clouded up right now.
I heard a rumor that using apostrophes to form plurals is a zottable offense :-)
I was being ‘vague’ in order to avoid repeating the rumor and calling out the paper. Thanks for pancake.
awesome album!
favorite song was Songbird!!!
Now isn't that special.
Did you look inside the envelope?
If you were attempting to be “vague”, then you certainly succeeded! :)
Rumors
Good one, but "the Chain" was my fav, awesome bass part!
John McVie is teh Mac Daddy of top 40 Bass!

absent a correction or retraction VERY SHORTLY from the “conservative online newspaper”, you’d better call it out, or shame on you IMO.
Is this a vanity? What is it about? Is “Rumor’s” meant to be possessive? Does anyone have any idea what this post is for? Is it just part of that whole alternate reality world we are supposed to accept lately? Is it a troll?

The bank could be a winner or sinner. How to play either outcome.
ON ANY GIVEN DAY, CITIGROUP COULD UNLEASH a Pandora's box of trouble into the capital markets.
Then again, on any given day the bank's shares (ticker: C), which have fallen about 93% in the past five years, could start to rally on signs of earnings improvement, eventually even doubling in price. If you don't like suspense and excitement, don't own a $3.40 stock.
Given Citigroup's troubles, the company's securities are surprisingly robust. SNIP
IMHO, if a person can't aford to lose their money, they shouldn't be holding Citi.
You need to ping either "Dead" or "Laz" to find out where exactly this thread fits into the cheese/møøse continuum.
They are the experts on such matters.
That is correct. Or if not zotting, thorough and profound ridicule. I find it difficult to take seriously the posts of people who have not bothered to learn how to punctuate.
Sorry this post was not up to Freep standards.
I’ve been a member for a long time but I can’t take the heat, so I’m getting out. Any help deleting this post would be appreciated.
