After I re-read one of the few news articles ever written about this disappearance, posted here:

....I suddenly noticed a strange link at the bottom of the page:

I haven't read it yet, but it occurred to me that in several different places and certainly on WS, someone mentioned that LC was proficient in nuclear WASTE, not in nuclear energy.

"According to expert sources, radioactive wastes are still leaking into the Ottawa River, which is an important source of food, recreation and drinking water used by numerous communities downriver in Ontario and Quebec, including the city of Ottawa."

A couple posters at Lucianne.com believe that his disappearance has to do with the Iranian nuclear scientists who've vanished, but one person mentions something I'm entirley unfamiliar with:
