With EVERY subject, one can (A) say the subject isn't serious enough for discussion or (B) because they know nothing about the subject, say it's tin-foil hat material or (C) do a little research to either debunk or learn more about the subject.

Well this is not the religion forum but frankly this is what happens when folks make themselves sole arbiters of Truth. Wild ass interpretations leading them off into bizarre cultish apocalyptic beliefs. Such has occurred ever since the Protestant Reformation. Whole sects, such as Seventh Day Adventists and Mormons sprung from these kind of tinfoil propositions.
It’s persistently been very fascinating psychodynamically as well as sociologically.
