Like I said, it was designed to compete with and is nearly the same as a Glock. In his opinion, it wasn't worth the less money you'd pay for it when you could have the real thing.

Each to his own. My wife has a Glock 19 which I find cumbersome to fire/hold. (and I did like the way the Sigma felt)

IIRC, there were some specific issues with firing pins or something but, I moved on and probably looking at one of the Springfield XD models which is as much as a Glock. They have a safety built into the grip. if you're not gripping it, it won't fire.
