The "negative narrative" has never stopped and will never be stopped. Instead of letting it bother anyone, people need to start realizing that as soon as they start getting branded with negative terms, or getting name called in other words, the opposition has revealed a weakness. Alinsky tactics states that mockery is among the most potent of weapons. You don't bring out your most potent weapons against a foe that doesn't worry you. "Birthers", "Teabaggers", and "Palinistas" are the people that most worry the left. Glory in it.
Of course if you get all weepy that some mean commentator called you bad name perhaps it's time you need to cowboy-up or get out of the fight.

Actually, I disagree... the attempts will never stop, but, for instance, not many will claim the NYT has no bias any more.
We ARE breaking may MSM narratives these days.
